Audio: The Don Geronimo Show - October 5, 2011
Today on The Don Geronimo Show, Don begins with a "story time" game that the guys play throughout the show, in which each member comes up with a word, to put together a story, and the listeners have to remember and recite the story at the end of the show for tickets to the Erotic Halloween Ball in at Cal Expo. The sentence starts with "Craig is excited," and the guys add on from there. Don also tells us that James Brown from the NFL on CBS will be stopping by, as is Joey Buttafuoco, who is being trained by Chyna for a celebrity fight against Amy Fisher's new husband. This reminds Don of Andy Kaufman's wrestling days, and the guys talk for a bit about Andy's matches against women, and his feud with Jerry Lawler.
Don also talks about the new issue of the National Examiner, that has a story claiming that Kathie Lee will be replacing Regis. The guys talk about how ridiculous that would be, and why that will never happen. Don then pulls out a list of words from other languages that have no English equivalent.Nancy Grace, who just last week had a nip slip on Dancing With The Stars, farted on the air Monday night, and the guys have the clip, which they play numerous times throughout the morning!
Don then gets a visit from Joey Buttafuoco, who brings along Dennis Hoff, owner of the Bunny Ranch, where Joey is apparently training. The guys tell us about the card on the night of Joey's fight, which includes Kato Kaelin, Mike Tyson, and even Amy Fisher herself! We then get a visit from James Brown from The NFL Today, on CBS, who tells us about his new granddaughter who was born just last week, the upcoming games, and how great it is that Detroit and Buffalo are off to such a great start this season.
The guys then get into a discussion about the new iPhone, and Dave tells us about his meeting with Apple later in the day regarding an idea for an app he has. He then tells us about an app he had an idea for previously, that apparently has already been invented (Cussbot for Droid). Don then plays an assorted array of clips, including a cat that says "no no no!" And Cinthia Fernandez going full monty on the Latino version of Dancing With The Stars.
Don then calls Joe Ardinger, who starts on the show tomorrow. Joe had just passed Salt Lake City, and should be in Sacramento this evening! Don then reads a text that Joe sent him on Monday about Craig not shutting up. Craig who has just downloaded Cussbot, begins calling Joe the random names that Cussbot comes up with. Don then discusses the new Johnny Depp article in Vanity Fair, and Glamour's "sexiest men" issue. It's then time to play "Stump The Stoop." This time, the year is 1969. Phantom, who isn't known for doing well in this game, actually does an impressive job this time around!
After Joe creates a mashup of the Nancy Grace fart, the "no no" cat, a dog that says "Batman!" Dave's last fart on delay, and Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher," It's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom talks about a gunman on the loose in Cupertino, the liquidation of Bernie Madoff's assets, more Disney movies in 3D, and the cancellation of Playboy Club after only 3 episodes. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
