Audio: The Don Geronimo Show - October 10, 2011

Today, Don starts with the passing of Legendary Raiders owner Al Davis, and since Steve Jobs passed last week, and famous people always die in three's, who's next to go? Don decides to start a "Trifecta Contest" with the listeners, to predict who the next celebrity to die is. Don also noticed yesterday that Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick wears his wedding ring during the games, and the guys discuss not only how unusual that is, but who else in professional sports wear rings, watches, etc.

Don then tells us about his weekend, in which he and Janet saw an old man pee himself at a restaurant, and got mad at an unassuming Costco employee because they didn't have Sweet n Low. Don was also introduced to tri tip over the weekend, and loved it. Don then tells us about Christian group called "Jesus Ween," who are going around on Halloween handing out Bibles. Don calls up the place and leaves a friendly voice mail. We also get to hear a series of clips from the radio prep service Little Joe subscribes to, including a parody song about Paul McCartney getting married, Trey Parker and Matt Stone talking about taking acid before the 2000 Oscars, and a Columbus day prank call, that Don tries to use on Pat and Tom across the hall.

It's then time for another edition of Karaoke Roulette, the first time with Slow Joe Ardinger! Among the songs the guys choose from today: "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga, "Come As You Are" by Nirvana, and "Foxy Lady" by Jimi Hendrix. After two rounds of musical hilarity, it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom talks about Occupy Wall St., the 100th anniversary of women being given the right to vote, the GOP race, Netfix remaining one service for DVD's and streaming, and the weekend's box office numbers. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
