Alleged Drunk Driver Runs Stop Signs, Crashes Into House In Auburn

AUBURN (CBS13) - A man was arrested for driving under the influence early Sunday morning after police say he drove through several stop signs, hit a parked car and then drove his vehicle into a house in Auburn.

Police were called to a report of a loud party at 1:20 a.m. on Buckeye Court and officers standing outside their vehicles nearby witnessed the driver, Ross Levin, blow through a stop sign, police said.

A third officer in his patrol vehicle attempted to stop the car but the officer could not overtake it. Levin reportedly drove through three more stop signs. When the officer came to the intersection of Vista Del Monte and Perkins Way, he found the car had collided with a parked car and crashed into a house on Vista Del Monte.

Levin and his male passenger got out the car uninjured. Residents in the house were reportedly shaken but not injured.

Levin was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The passenger was released without charges. There are additional charges pending the investigation.
