3 Shot, Suspect Damages Vacaville Police Station

VACAVILLE, Calif. (CBS13) - Two people are dead and one hurt in a triple shooting in Vacaville.  A suspect is now behind bars after he walked into the police station with a gun.

The incident began when police were called to an apartment complex on Williams Street just before 2 a.m.

They found a woman in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.  She was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center and is expected to survive.  She was also able to tell officer that there had been a shooting inside an apartment.

Officers then found two men who had been fatally shot inside an apartment in the complex.

While police were still at the apartment investigating, a man walked into the lobby of the Vacaville Police Department with a gun.   The man began creating a scene vandalizing the lobby.  An officer then used a taser on the man and arrested him.

The man was later identified as the suspected shooter at the apartment complex.

The lobby of the Vacaville Police Department is now closed as crews work to clean up the damage including shattered front doors.
