2 Dead In Plumas County Plane Crash
CHESTER, Calif. (AP) -- Two people are dead after a plane crash at a rural airport in Plumas County.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza crashed at the end of the runway at Rogers Field Airport in Chester around 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
Gregor says local law enforcement officials are reporting that that there were two people on board the plane. Gregor did not have any additional details on the crash.
The FAA and NTSB will investigate.
Chester is about 170 miles north of Sacramento.
