2 Dead, 1 Critically Hurt In Loomis Murder

LOOMIS,Calif.(CBS13) – Investigators combed through a Loomis residence Saturday after two dead victims and a critically wounded homeowner were found dead.

The Placer County Sheriff's Department has released few details on the circumstances surrounding the death of a man and a woman, who were found Saturday morning in the backyard of a home onRachel Lane.

Emergency crews found the homeowner, identified by neighbors as John Camara, inside the residence and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.

Neighbors said they heard loud noises at the home Friday night but didn't realize anything was out of the ordinary.

"We are looking at all options, we are treating this as a homicide," Detective Guitaro said, adding, "We don't think the community should be concerned. It seems pretty contained, pretty specific. It doesn't look like a random act of any kind."

Investigators have not yet released the victims' identities.
