After 52 years, Japan's Mount Shinmoedake has begun erupting. The volcano, which started rumbling on Jan. 27, is probably more widely-known to people outside of Japan for its cameo role in the 1967 James Bond film "You Only Live Twice." The film's plot featured a secret rocket base built by Bond's arch-enemy, Ernst Stavro Blofeld , in the volcano's depths.
