North American Bullfrogs huddle together in their enclosure at the Jurong Frog Farm in Singapore, June 11, 2013.
The farm started in 1981 and is Singapore's only frog farm. The business has seen a huge boom in sales in the past year after developing the only fresh, locally made "Hashima," or Snow Jelly.
Traditionally imported from China, Hashima is made from bullfrog oviducts and is classed as one of the top five most valued Chinese ingredients. Made from the reproductive organs of the frog, it is rich with collagen protein and is said to help skin complexion as well as strengthen the kidneys and lungs.
