"Pirates" lands at Cannes

Cruz was pregnant during production of the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film, so the filmmakers adjusted the schedule so more of Cruz's scenes were shot early, before she began to show. While she did all her close-up action scenes, stunt doubles filled in for wider shots.

Captain Jack and Angelica make their watery way through the jungle — Walt Disney Studios

In the fourth film of the series, Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) and Angelica (Cruz) make their watery way through the jungle in search of the Fountain of Youth.

At a press conference today Johnny Depp described his character Jack Sparrow as "a weird combination of a 18th century rock 'n' roll star, who looks like Keith Richards, and Pepe le Pew - a very romantic skunk!"

Johnny Depp, who is making his fourth appearance as Captain Jack Sparrow, told the press conference that there could be more installments in the series: "If the people get tired of it or something, that's when it stops, I think. If people want it, I'm there."
