Syylist to the stars David Evangelista and Us Weekly's Katrina Szish say Reese Witherspoon, shown accepting the award for favorite leading lady at the 32nd Annual People's Choice Awards, made a perfect style statement whith her wine and black tea-length dress. From hair to accessories, they say she "she hit a home run."
Sandra Bullock
Evangelista thought Sandra Bullock looked "perfect in lace." Szish says the dress was great, but would not have been her first choice for the winner of the People's Choice for favorite female movie star.
Patricia Heaton
"Everybody Loves Raymond's" Patricia Heaton wore a full-length gown by Escada. Both critics thought the dress was beautiful, but lacked the 'wow' factor.
Nicolette Sheridan
The white tea-length dress worn by "Desperate Housewives" star Nicolette Sheridan was neither a hit nor a miss, according to to Us Weekly's Katrina Szish. "She's a beautiful woman. I think she needs to go for it a little more... color wise," Evangelista said.
Marg Helgenberger
Evangelista liked the black dress worn by "CSI's" Marg Helgenberger. "It's fun. It's a party dress. She looks great in it. She's got a great figure and knows how to work it."
Jenna Elfman
Jenna Elfman, who stars in the new CBS comedy, "Courting Alex", got a thumbs up on her sytle choice from both critics.
Jessica Simpson
Actress and singer Jessica Simpson took home the People's Choice Award for favorite song from a movie, for "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'," as performed by Simpson in "The Dukes of Hazzard." She did not win rave reviews for her dress. "I think Jessica was my biggest disappointment," Szish said. "She always looks gorgeous, of course. This wasn't as elegant as I wanted to see her look."
Neither critic was crazy about the full-length gold gown sported by actress and model Rachel Hunter. Szish noted, "It's hard for Rachel to look bad."
