Londoner Mohammed Emwazi, 27, was identified this week as the ISIS executioner known as "Jihadi John," is seen in a picture from his university records (R) next to a picture from an ISIS execution video.
British intelligence said Emwazi was on its radar since 2009 until it apparently lost track of him about two years ago.
Polar bear robot, Japan

The "Robear", developed by Riken Institute and Sumitomo Riko, has a polar cub-like face with big doey eyes, but packs enough power to transfer frail patients from a wheelchair to a bed or a bath.

Montoya shared the flat where she had been living for the last 16 years with her son, his wife and their three children. The family fell behind with the rent payments and accumulated a debt of 3,000 euros ($3,407). Their eviction was carried out despite the efforts of anti-eviction activists, who blocked the main entrance door with furniture.
Comet Lovejoy
Scientists were able to take this amazing shot of comet Lovejoy using the world's most powerful digital camera., the 570-megapixel Dark Energy camera. The photo was taken December 27, 2014, but not released to the public till February 27, 2015.
The image was taken as the comet was passing about 51 million miles from Earth.
