On Feb. 16, 2010, two week's after Ryann's disappearance, her husband, Jesse Crow, was arrested and charged with her murder, according to Salinas Police spokesman Lalo Villegas.

Ryann Crow's mother, Pamela Pipitone, told CBS affiliate KION that the family hadn't had much time to get to know her daughter's new husband. "They had a world-wind relationship," Pipitone said. "She met him in July, and kind of got swept off her feet and then they got married in August, so we really haven't known him that long."

Jesse Crow had previously avoided all organized searches for his wife, as well as the media spotlight. Her family told CBS affiliate KION that police told them around 9 p.m. onFeb. 16, 2010, that Jesse Crow was going to be arrested on suspicion of murder.

Salinas Police did not release any information about how they came to charge Jesse Crow with murder or whether they have found Ryann's body. Lalo Villegas, public information officer for the Salinas Police, said Jesse Crow would likely be arraigned on the murder charge in the next few days.
