The capital of the movie industry is known for glamour, but the stars generally buy their glad rags elsewhere. Los Angeles Fashion Week is an effort to change all that. With 35 designer shows, the event was a celebration of local designers from red carpet favorite Kevan Hall to jeans makers Antik Denim. Here are some highlights, starting with, at left, this glamorous red gown at the Kara Saun show staged March 20, 2006.
