Hole in one: Celebrating the doughnut
June 7 is National Doughnut Day, a time to celebrate the many forms these tasty treats have taken, from simple fried dough to elaborate concoctions of glaze, candy and fillings.

A hybrid of a croissant and a doughnut, this newly-invented pastry has taken the foodie world by storm.
