Steven Spielberg's Civil War epic "Lincoln" led the Golden Globes nominations with seven, among them best drama, best director for Spielberg and acting honors for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones.

"Argo"

Ben Affleck's Iran hostage-crisis thriller "Argo" earned five nominations: best drama, best director for Affleck, supporting actor for Alan Arkin, screenplay and original score.

"Django Unchained"

Quentin Tarantino's slave-turned-bounty-hunter tale "Django Unchained" also earned five nominations -- best drama, best director for Tarantino, supporting actor honors for Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz and best original screenplay.

"Life of Pi"

Shipwreck saga "Life of Pi" earned nominations for best drama, director Ang Lee and best original score.

"Zero Dark Thirty"

The Osama bin Laden manhunt thriller "Zero Dark Thirty" is nominated for best drama, as well as best director for Kathryn Bigelow, best actress in a drama for Jessica Chastain and best screenplay.

"The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel"

The British retiree adventure "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" is among the films nominated for best motion picture, musical or comedy. Judi Dench is also nominated for best actress in a musical or comedy for her role in the film.

"Les Miserables"

Hugh Jackman earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Victor Hugo's long-suffering hero Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's adaptation of "Les Miserables," while Anne Hathaway was nominated in the supporting actress category for her portrayal of Fantine. The film was also nominated for best motion picture, musical or comedy, and best original song.

"Moonrise Kingdom"

Wes Anderson's first-love tale "Moonrise Kingdom" was nominated for best motion picture, musical or comedy.

"Salmon Fishing in the Yemen"

The fishing romance "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" earned nominations for best motion picture, musical or comedy, along with nods for Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt for best actor and actress in a musical or comedy, respectively.

"Silver Linings Playbook"

The lost-soul romance "Silver Linings Playbook" received nominations for best motion picture, musical or comedy, as well as best actor in a musical or comedy (Bradley Cooper), best actress in a musical or comedy (Jennifer Lawrence) and best screenplay (David O. Russell).

Daniel Day-Lewis

Nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama, for "Lincoln."

"The Big Bang Theory" earned a Golden Globe nomination for best television series - comedy or musical. Jim Parsons also earend a best comedic actor nod for his role on the CBS sitcom.

"Episodes"

The Showtime comedy "Episodes" is nominated for best television series - comedy or musical, and Matt LeBlanc is nominated in the comedic actor category for his role (as himself) on the show.

"Girls"

Lena Dunham earned a nomination for best actress in a television series - comedy or musical, for her role on "Girls." The HBO series also received a nod for best comedy series.

"Modern Family"

"Modern Family" is up for best comedy series at the Golden Globes, with Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara also earning supporting actor and actress nominations.

"Smash"

NBC's musical series "Smash" rounds out the best television series - comedy or musical category.

"Boardwalk Empire"

HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" is nominated in the best television series - drama category. Star Steve Buscemi also received a best dramatic actor nod.

"Breaking Bad"

AMC's drug drama "Breaking Bad" and star Bryan Cranton earned nomination in the dramatic television series and dramatic actor categories.

"Downton Abbey"

Carnival Film & Television Limited 2012 for Masterpiece

The British upstairs-downstairs drama "Downton Abbey" is nominated for best television series - drama. Michelle Dockery also earned a nomination for best actress in a dramatic television series, and Maggie Smith is nominated in the supporting actress category.

"Homeland"

Showtime's CIA drama "Homeland" earned nominations in the dramatic TV series category, along with nods for lead actors Claire Danes and Damien Lewis and supporting actor Mandy Patinkin.

"The Newsroom"

Aaron Sorkin's cable news drama "The Newsroom" earned a best drama nomination in the television category, as well as a nod for lead actor Jeff Daniels.
