David Gray serenades "The Early Show"
Gray burst onto the American airwaves in the summer of 2000 with "Babylon," the infectious single from his multi-platinum effort, "White Ladder."
The singer didn't have an immediate following, but when Gray's album "White Ladder" was released, it spent 83 weeks on the Billboard charts and earned the singer a Grammy nomination for best new artist.
After years playing small venues in the United Kingdom, Gray finally hit it big, scoring gigs with the likes of the Dave Matthews Band and Radiohead.
