Dave got a ride to a hardware store, bought some spray paint and went to work, writing "NO WAY HOME" in fluorescent orange on both sides of the car. He also inscribed "CBS" on both sides of the hood, and drew the CBS logo on both front fenders.

But suddenly, about 20 miles outside of Yakima, Dave's car wouldn't accelerate. He pulled the car to the shoulder. The car -- his $275 investment -- wouldn't start. Dave, again, had no way home.

As Dave waited for his ride to arrive, he assessed his options, taking into account that he'd spent a large chunk of his budget on a car that broke down.
