Chaos on Capitol Hill

U.S. Capitol Police officers respond to reports of shots fired near the Capitol in Washington Oct. 3, 2013, following a high-speed car chase that started near the White House and ended on Capitol Hill.

The Capitol was placed on security lockdown after shots were fired outside the complex.

Police were seen running within the Capitol building and outside as vehicles swarmed to the scene.
