Microsoft earlier in the day released technical plans for future versions of Windows. The big news: the next version of Windows will support system-on-a-chip (SoC) architectures;, including ARM-based systems from partners Nvidia (the aforementioned "Project Denver"), Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments. The goal: more flexibility for the operating system to be integrated into more portable post-laptop devices.
