Recording artists Jay-Z and Beyonce hosted a similarly glitzy fundraiser in September at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in Manhattan. At the event, which cost $40,000 a ticket, the president thanked "Jay and Bey" for their friendship and quipped that he and Jay-Z have a few things in common: "We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are," he said.

George Clooney, a strong supporter of President Obama, has donated tens of thousands of dollars to his re-election efforts -- and in May, he hosted a $15 million fundraiser at his California home. The actor didn't stop there: In August, he hosted an Obama fundraiser in Geneva that raked in more than a half-million dollars.

Actor Clint Eastwood, who raised eyebrows with his "surprise" appearance at the Republican National Convention, had previously spoken at Romney fundraisers, according to the Romney campaign.
Hathaway, who played Catwoman in the latest Batman film, co-hosted a $35,800 per-person fundraiser on behalf of President Obama with producer Harvey Weinstein. The event, which was held at Weinstein's Connecticut home in August, raised more than $2 million for the president's war chest.

The editor in chief of Vogue magazine, Anna Wintour has also become one of President Obama's most high-profile bundlers, throwing fundraisers for the president across the globe: In addition to events in New York, she's also hosted one in London -- and has another slated for Paris in October.

In March, music mogul Russell Simmons co-hosted a gala fundraiser for President Obama with Deepak Chopra. According to the New York Post, other co-hosts included ABC Carpet & Home CEO Paulette Cole, chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and restaurateur Phil Suarez.
