Tyler Perry has pledged to donate $1 million to relief efforts in Houston. He said in a Facebook video, "What I'm seeing in Houston — the humanity, the caring for everybody, black, white, yellow, green, doesn't matter — that is who we are as Americans. And I'm so proud of everyone who is helping so many people there."
He is giving $250,000 to Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church, $250,000 to Beyonce's pastor Rudy Rasmus, and the remaining $500,000 will be distributed later.

Houston Texans star J.J. Watt has raised more than $15 million for his YouCaring page for people affected by Harvey. He personally donated $100,000.

Ellen DeGeneres pledged $50,000 of her own money for relief efforts, and presented a $1 million check from Walmart for J.J. Watt's fundraiser.

While on "Ellen," Miley Cyrus announced that she was donating $500,000 to relief efforts. She was moved to tears on the show and said she didn't know what she would do if she didn't have her dogs and family to go home to. She said she is giving money to American Red Cross, Best Friends and the Greater Houston Community Fund.
Kevin Hart name-checked several famous friends on Instagram and "challenged" them to donate $25,000 to relief efforts. He ultimately donated $50,000.

Dwayne Johnson also answered Hart's challenge and said on Instagram, "Stay strong Houston and hold onto faith. Me and my family know what you're going thru. We survived the eye of Andrew and became stronger -- so will you."
Nicki Minaj reposted Hart's challenge video on Instagram and wrote that she would donate $25,000.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez pledged to donate $25,000 each to the Red Cross in a joint Instagram video.
"We've been watching everything that's been going on down in Houston and our hearts are just breaking for all the families that are displaced," Lopez said. "All the victims, seeing these pictures of children and all footage, it's just devastating and we just want to do our part to help."

Chris Young announced that he was donating $100,000 to the Red Cross and other relief efforts. He said in a statement that communities in Texas "are going to be dealing with so much damage and loss of life for a long time to come."

Jamie Foxx announced that he will be hosting a telethon in September to raise money for those in need.
"Just wanted to let everyone in Texas know, we got you," Foxx said on Instagram, adding that he's donated $25,000 to GlobalGiving, a non-profit organization that provides a global crowdfunding platform for grassroots charitable projects. "From a fellow Texan, my heart goes out. My prayers go out. September 12 we have a telethon that we're doing. We'll give you more details, so we can raise as much money as we can for everybody down there."

"Bachelor" star Sean Lowe borrowed a boat to evacuate flood victims in Houston firsthand. He told ET that he teamed up with firefighters and rescued about a dozen people.
