Awards show bling

There was an awful lot of gold, silver, diamonds, sapphires and other precious gems sparkling on the awards-show red carpets this month. Take a closer look at some of that jewelry and see how the stars, or their stylists, use jewelry, beaded clutches and other accessories to build a complete look.

A lot of the jewelry is borrowed from designers and jewelers seeking red-carpet promotion and has to be returned the next day. One California jeweler to the stars reportedly dressed more than a dozen actresses for the Golden Globes.
