Clooney was nominated in the Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama category. He will face some tough competion: Jeff Bridges, Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, and Tobey Maguire.

Mandela on Film

Freeman was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama. Damon was also nominated in the supporting actor category in "Invictus." Damon picked up another nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for "The Informant!"

Bullock Gets Two Noms

Bullock was also nominated for her role as a cranky boss in romantic comedy "The Proposal."

Something "Precious"

Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe was nominated for her role as a Harlem teenager -- illiterate, obese, and pregnant with her father's child -- who tries to break out of her horrific circumstances in "Precious: Based on the Novel by Sapphire."

Cameron Back in Spotlight

A Breakout Hit

Michael C. Hall was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama for his creepy role as serial killer Dexter Morgan on Showtime's "Dexter."
