10 guy movies on Netflix that women like, too
The plot: Four guys go to Vegas, get really drunk and lose their friend who's about to get married. Then, they find a tiger in their bedroom, a baby in the closet, and a naked Chinese man in the trunk of their car. Sounds like a disaster of epic proportions -- the kind only men would get themselves into.
Why girls love it: Bradley Cooper.
Top Gun
The plot: Maverick (Tom Cruise when he was dreamy) goes to Top Gun Naval Flying School. He has got a bit of an attitude, but is awesome and competitive. Somewhere along the way, he meets a girl and falls in love.
Why girls love it: Hot pilots in uniform.
Old School
The plot: Grown men revert back to immaturity and start a fraternity. They relive their college days by throwing loud, crazy parties and befriend a variety of misfit college students (losers) who need a little guidance.
Why girls love it: We realize our men are not that bad.
Stand by Me
The plot: Four boys set out on an adventure of a lifetime to find the body of a missing teenager from town. They learned a lot during the journey, but grew apart as they got older.
Why girls love it: We get all nostalgic about our posse from back in the day.
Return of the Jedi
The plot: As the final chapter of George Lucas' "Star Wars" saga, Luke and Darth Vader finally duke it out to end the war between the Empire and Rebel Forces. Men love it because they get to see Princess Leia in a gold bikini.
Why girls love it: Ewoks are kind of cute.
Terminator 2
The plot: A cyborg gets sent back in time to protect a boy he once tried to kill. (Huh?) It's a long story. Anyway, what makes this movie really cool is the awesome special effects, which in 1991, blew everyone away.
Why girls love it: It ups our cool factor.
Fight Club
The plot: Even though the first rule of "Fight Club" is that you don't talk about "Fight Club," we're going to do it anyway. The movie is about this guy who suffers from insomnia. He meets this "other guy." (Spoiler alert! It's really him -- he's got issues.) "They" start this stupid club for guys so they can all get together to beat each other up for kicks.
Why girls love it: Brad Pitt.
Wedding Crashers
The plot: Two single men go from wedding to wedding to scam on insecure chicks. Eventually, they discover why it's awesome to be in a meaningful relationship.
Why girls love it: Vince Vaughn's monologue on dating: "I apologize to you if I don't seem real eager to jump into a forced awkward intimate situation that people like to call dating..." He goes and on and on, and it's really funny.
Gladiator
The plot: A soldier (Russell Crowe -- ow!) ruffles feathers in Rome. His hotness fights beasts, regular people, even emperors. We don't know much else... We were mesmerized by muscles.
Why girls love it: The abs.
Dumb and Dumber
The plot: Lloyd, a limo driver, drags his best friend Harry to return a woman's suitcase in Aspen. They find out the suitcase is full of money, start "borrowing" the cash, and both fall in love with the owner. Somehow, they get mixed up in a crime, and fight with each other for the girl.
Why girls love it: It's utterly hilarious and easily quotable.
