Philadelphia City Council votes to ban medical deportations
Philadelphia is on the road to becoming the first city in the U.S. to make medical deportations illegal, according to an immigrant advocacy group. City Council voted Wednesday to ban the practice of hospitals sending noncitizens out of the country without their consent.
