Penn State study says Pennsylvania is in need of 15,000 teachers
A recent study shows Pennsylvania does not have nearly as many teachers as it needs. According to research from Penn State, Pennsylvania needs 15,000 teachers to fill the ranks. There are some incentives for hiring. Pennsylvania has a student-teacher support program. Education leaders said the program is working.. but needs more funding.
