Administrators respond to community outrage of closing Scenic Hills Elementary ecology center

Controversy has been growing surrounding a school district’s decision to close an outdoor ecology center at Scenic Hills Elementary. In response to community outrage, administrators agreed to keep all the animals at the center but not Shelly the tortoise. A retiring teacher agreed to permanently care for Shelly.
