"Tolls will increase going from $4 per car to $5 and there'll be a 25-percent increase for all the other vehicles," John Matheussen, CEO of the Delaware River Port Authority says.
Drivers who cross from New Jersey to Pennsylvania on four Philadelphia-area bridges will have to pay a dollar more starting Friday.
The toll jumps from $4 to $5 to use the Walt Whitman, Ben Franklin, Commodore Barry, and Betsy Ross Bridges. The Delaware Memorial Bridge goes from $3 to $4.
Corbett, as the board's new chairman, vowed to keep an open mind on things at the embattled bi-state agency.
In preparation for the upcoming redecking of the Walt Whitman Bridge, four existing gantries need to be removed. As a result, there will be intermittent closures of the bridge beginning Monday, February 28th at 8:00 p.m.
