Convicted Philadelphia murderer Terrance Williams is no longer on Death Row.
Just five days before the scheduled execution, a Philadelphia judge will rule this morning on a defense stay of execution for convicted killer Terrance Williams.
After hearing closing arguments on Tuesday, Judge Teresa Sarmina says on Friday morning she will make her final ruling on whether to rule a stay of execution for Terrance Williams, a man sentenced to death in the 1986 murder of 56-year-old Amos Norwood of Mt. Airy.
The defense is fighting for a stay of execution based on allegations that the conviction was tainted by lies and misconduct.
An admitted murderer will be back on the witness stand Monday as the key witness while the defense fights for a stay of execution for death row inmate Terrance Williams.
The execution of a Philadelphia man could be stopped.
A board today failed to approve clemency for Terrance Williams, who, in less than three weeks, is scheduled to become the first person executed in Pennsylvania in 13 years.
