US Judge Releases Man Charged In Lieberman Threat

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A Philadelphia man charged with posting an anti-Semitic threat against Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut will have his computer use monitored while he's out on $50,000 bail.

The FBI says 23-year-old Dmitry Dyatlov (DOT'-lahv) posted a blog entry saying Lieberman should be shot because he is liberal, doesn't like the rapper Eminem, and sits on the "security" committee. Lieberman, who is Jewish, chairs the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Authorities describe the Uzbeki-born Dyatlov as a University of Michigan graduate who went missing this summer from his information technology job. His employer read the blog to locate him and contacted authorities.

The FBI says Dyatlov called Lieberman "one Jew who we absolutely must shoot in the face."

Public defender Mark Wilson declined comment on the case.
