2 kids arrested after throwing rocks, sticks and logs off Pennsylvania overpass, hurting 2 people, police say

A 14-year-old and an 11-year-old have been arrested after damaging at least 17 vehicles when they threw rocks and other objects off a highway overpass in Chester County, police say.

On two separate nights last week, the children went to the overpass at Airport Road and the U.S. Route 30 Bypass in Valley Township and threw debris onto cars passing on the roadway below, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The incidents happened on Wednesday, Aug. 19 and Friday, Aug. 21. Rocks, sticks and logs were thrown, police say.

Two people received injuries that were not life-threatening after their vehicles were damaged by the falling objects.

The children are charged with aggravated assault, propulsion of missiles and recklessly endangering another person.
