The Irish Pol has left it's somewhat dive bar digs for a new location, which is now bright and open. You can enjoy the aspect of an Irish pub with over 40 beers on tap, and plenty of craft options including Palm Ale and Flying Dog IPA. If you are hungry be sure to try their wings. The Sly Fox has crafted more than 100 different types of beer since 1995. You can order a beer sampler to try a variety of different microbrews. The award winning Grisette Working Class Ale is a warm weather beer that will be available. Sly Fox has a tasting room and offers tours of their brewery, and also monthly activities and events. The kitchen has large variety of appetizers including burgers, nachos, calamari, quesadillas, crab dip, and pretzels. They offer up their signature brew in cans for more portability and take out.
Frankford Hall
This popular place is a good choice for locally produced microbrew. Frankford Hall serves great local brews like Yards (who makes a Frankford Hall beer every year) but they keep it "German" in style by serving in giant liter mugs. Frankford Hall is a great place to go to with a group or just to enjoy the better weather outside. Twinkle lights, and spring décor adorn the outside picnic tabled courtyard which also has fire pits for chilly nights. Frankford hall serves Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst and other German foods along with typical bar fare.

Yard's Brewery on Delaware avenue has been brewing beer for the Philadelphia area for more than 20 years. This spring if you are looking for a nice spring ale, you will find it here between their signature brews. Their selection consists mainly of British inspired lighter ales, along with their seasonal brews such as Yards PYNK & Golden Hop IPA. On Saturdays the tasting room offers over a dozen different beers and a new food truck stops by to offer different food to pair with your beer. If you have ever wondered what goes on in a brewery you can take a free tour. Yard's is part of the "green initiative" and are 100 percent powered by wind energy, plus they repurpose much of what you see inside and use recycled materials. The Yard's kitchen is open Monday-Friday from noon-6:30 and they always have pool tables and shuffleboard available for entertainment.
