Philadelphia's main public media service covers television, radio, and now the web and mobile devices in the local community. The public media outfit covers both news and cultural programs, and the various media outlets offer the best of the best in news and cultural events and information funded by the state and public donations. WHYY also brings educational programs such as "Sesame Street" to children and radio programs such as the popular Fresh Air program with Terry Gross to adults.

There are many charitable organizations in the city that support the arts. If you volunteer for any that aren't listed, please share in comments and tells us how you got involved.
