Distrito is Iron Chef Jose Garces' venture into Mexican food. This West Philly restaurant is modeled off of the cuisine and culture of Mexico City, especially the street food in a place known to locals as "Distrito Federal." The atmosphere is vibrant and the restaurant is decorated in bright pinks and greens. Six-hundred Luchra Libre (wrestling) masks hang from the ceiling. Distrito also makes some great margaritas and has over 100 different types of tequilas. Hang out downstairs in the lounge and tequila bar to catch the Olympics on one of its TVs.

McGillin's has been around since 1860, the year Lincoln was elected president, and is known as the "longest continuously operating tavern in Philadelphia." Although still keeping the charm of the past, McGillin's has also updated with the times, and has eight TVs placed strategically around the bar.
