Teen Stabbed In Neck While Getting Off SEPTA Bus In Delaware County

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A teenager is lucky to be alive after being stabbed on a SEPTA bus Wednesday afternoon in Delaware County.
An 18-year-old Upper Darby man was getting off the SEPTA bus at Baltimore Pike and Church Road in Springfield, Delaware County when he was stabbed twice in the neck.
According to the Springfield Township Police Chief, the attack was unprovoked and the suspect is a 67-year-old man with a history of mental health problems.
The victim was taken to Delaware County Memorial Hospital and is being treated for superficial wounds.
An off-duty Widener Security guard was on board the bus at the time and was able to hold the suspect until police arrived.
