Suspect Wanted In Robbery, Attempted Robbery Of 2 Dunkin' Donuts

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect in connection with the robbery and attempted robbery of two donut shops in Philadelphia.

The incidents happened only about 20 minutes apart in the early morning hours of December 2nd at two separate Dunkin' Donuts.

In the first incident, the suspect entered the Dunkin' Donuts located in the 1300 block of Olney Avenue at about 4:33 a.m.

The suspect stood by the counter and when an employee opened a register to give a customer change, the suspect suddenly jumped onto the counter and attempted to take money from the cash register drawer.

Two employees were able to fight off the suspect and he eventually left empty-handed.

Approximately 20 minutes later, the same suspect walked into the Dunkin' Donuts located in the 4700 block of N. Broad Street. This time, the suspect showed the employees the grip of a handgun and demanded money from the register.

The employee opened the register and the suspect took $125 in cash and then ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8″-5'11″, 20-30 years-of-age, dark complected, with a scar on the left side of his face, thick eyebrows and a light beard. He was wearing a black jacket with white or gray patches on the shoulders, a black ski cap, blue shirt, dark colored pants and black boots.
