Suspect Arrested For String Of Indecent Exposures In Lansdale

LANSDALE, Pa. (CBS) – A suspect has been arrested for a string of indecent exposures in the Lansdale area that have been occurring since spring 2011.

On Monday, May 14th, Officer Patrick McKernan was assigned to a plain clothes detail in the downtown Lansdale area to conduct surveillance for a suspect who has been targeting young females and exposing himself since last spring. Around 4:10 p.m., Officer McKernan saw a black Ford F-150 pickup truck with a tan stripe that matched the descriptions given by the suspects after previous incidents enter the Lansdale Train Station parking lot.

McKernan saw the man in the vehicle watch pedestrian traffic for about 10 minutes then observed the driver get out of the vehicle, pull out his penis and start masturbating just as the SEPTA R5 train was arriving at the station and passengers were walking to their cars.

McKernan arrested the suspect, identified as Gerald Boyce Jr., 40, of Lansdale, who was linked to the previous crimes through evidence found in his car and residence.

Boyce has been charged with numerous counts of indecent exposure, open lewdness, disorderly conduct and related offenses. He is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility after he failed to make bail.
