Suspect Arrested For Multiple Burglaries In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A suspect wanted for multiple burglaries in Northeast Philadelphia is behind bars, Philadelphia Police announced Monday.

Shortly after surveillance video was recovered and aired, police say an anonymous tip was received on October 22rd identifying Howard Jacobson, 40, of Philadelphia.

Police say Jacobson was identified as the suspect wanted in connection with the October 15th burglaries of Bob's Hair Design at the 7900 block of Dungan Road and Verree Express Pizza at the 7900 block of Verree Road (See Related Story).

After investigating these burglaries, police say Jacobson was also identified as the suspect in several other burglaries from the 9400 block of State Road, 6700 block of Bustleton Avenue, 6400 block of Sackett Street and the 2500 block of Welsh Road.

According to investigators, Jacobson was arrested for assault on police on the 900 block of East Tioga Street on October 23rd.

Jacobson is charged with seven counts of burglary and related offenses.
