Southbound NE Extension Closed At Quakertown Due To Truck Accident
LANSDALE, Pa. (CBS) -- The Pennsylvania Turnpike is closed southbound on I-476 at the Quakertown Interchange due to an accident involving a box truck.
Officials say the box truck hit the guardrail and traveled over an embankment near the Lansdale Interchange at exit 31.
Traffic is exiting at Quakertown Interchange and the following detour is in effect:
Take State Route 663 north to U.S. Route 309 south to U.S. Route 202 south to State Route 63 west.
Reenter the Turnpike at Lansdale Interchange, Exit #31.
Once the truck is recovered and the guardrail is repaired, officials say the turnpike will reopen to traffic.
Crews say there are no life-threatening injuries reported.
