Some Dogs Removed From Malvern, Pa. Home Put Up For Adoption
MALVERN, Pa. (CBS) - A handful of dogs that were rescued from a backyard kennel in Malvern last week are ready for a new home.
Eight of the 54 dogs rescued are now up for adoption.
Rich Britton, with the Chester County SPCA, says these are highly sought after small-breed dogs between one and eight years old that were taken from an overcrowded, unhealthy situation (see previous story).
"As far as rescue dogs are concerned, they're always tested for tempermant when they come in here, so they are completely vaccinated, spayed or neutered and ready for adoption," he says, "so you're getting an animal that gets a second chance. And let me tell you something: they know it and they can really be your friend for life."
If you're interested in taking home one of these dogs or any of the other animals available, you'll first need to fill out an application. The adoption fee is $125, and adoptions are granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
