Shore Goers Wrap Up The Summer Season And Look Ahead To Next Year

By Kristen Johanson

HAMMONTON, N.J., (CBS) -- Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial end to the summer season, but many will still be squeezing out the warm weather through the fall.

As many head home from the shore, Barbara and her family decided to make one more drive to Atlantic City.

"We go pretty much every couple months," she said. "Go to the beach, get on some rides, sight see. Just shop a little."

While Dana made her first trip down, it won't be her last this year.

"I love September and October at the shore, and there are so many great places!"

Joe is headed back from Ocean City, after spending quality time with his grandchildren.

"We like to ride bikes, fireworks, little fireworks...whatever the kids want to do. It's been fun," he explained.

He added that he can't wait until next season

"It's been a great year. What's to say, the weather's been great, the crowd's been great. The water is good. It's been a nice summer. I think everyone is sad that it's over, but you know, there's always next year."
