Sanders Cancels; Democratic Candidate For PA Attorney General Addresses PA Delegation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Bernie Sanders was scheduled to be at the Pennsylvania delegation breakfast, but cancelled at the last minute due to a scheduling conflict.

Also on the speaker's list Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania attorney general Josh Shapiro.

In reference to the walkout by some Bernie Sanders supporters during the roll call vote, Josh Shapiro says he won't tell anyone how to vote, but, "I would encourage those who supported Senator Sanders to listen to what Senator Sanders said, which is that the alternative in Donald Trump is just not something that's going to take our country in a direction we want to go."

Shapiro says he was supported by many Bernie Sanders supporters in the primary.

"I applaud them for their enthusiasm. I applaud them for caring so deeply about their country and their future, and it's time we come together and fight together for those ideals."

Shapiro is facing Republican state senator John Rafferty in the general election.
