Breast cancer treatment often includes surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Radiation helps to treat cancer and/or reduce the risk of the cancer reoccurring while in most cases side effects are minimal and limited to area being treated. Patients may require radiation daily for up to several weeks. Women may be concerned about the side effects of those radiation treatments as well as the disruption to their daily lives.
