Woman Forced Into Minivan At Philadelphia Gas Station Found Safe
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say that a woman who was seen being forced into a van at a Philadelphia Gas Station on Saturday night has been found safe.
Philadelphia Police investigated following the incident which occurred at a Sunoco Gas Station located at 301 S. 52nd St. According to authorities a woman was grabbed and forced into a minivan at the gas station around 10:30 p.m.
Authorities were able to view video surveillance from the area which showed the woman entering and exiting the location after buying items inside. Police say after exiting the store, a man is seen grabbing and dragging the woman.
Police say she was dragged around 15 feet to the minivan and then forced into the passenger side before pulling off. The vehicle traveled southbound on 52nd Street.
Authorities add that other patrons can be seen in the video, but that none offered assistance to the woman.
On Sunday, authorities announced that the woman had been found safe. Police say she was upset due to recent personal matters and she fled from another vehicle while driving with a family member.
Authorities say the men in the video seen putting the woman in the van were family members grabbing her to take her home to be with her family.
