Police Search For Man Accused Of Threatening SEPTA Driver With A Knife

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect accused of threatening a SEPTA driver with a knife.

Authorities say on March 21 around 3:05 p.m., the driver of the SEPTA route 23 bus was at Germantown and Erie Avenues.

Police say when the driver asked the suspect to clear the aisle so passengers could walk through, the suspect became angry and pulled a knife, threatening the driver.

Officials say the suspect then exited the bus and was last seen on Erie Avenue. No one was injured during the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 6'0, wearing a brown and checkered hat, tan scarf, dark brown jacket and light blue pants.
