Police Investigating After 'Swatting' Incident At QVC Headquarters
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) – Police are investigating after a dangerous prank aimed at the QVC headquarters in West Chester.
West Goshen police tell Eyewitness News that they responded to a report of a person with a gun inside the building holding hostages.
Officers eventually determined the call was a hoax after searching the building.
That type of prank is apparently known as "swatting."
In a statement, QVC says, "The safety and security of our team members is our highest priority at QVC; this incident appears to have been a hoax, and we can confirm that our team members are safe."
