Police: Couple Used Stroller To Steal Bats From New Jersey Sporting Goods Store

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say they have issued arrest warrants for a Philadelphia couple who used a baby stroller to steal high-end baseball bats in southern New Jersey.

Mount Laurel police said that warrants were issued for the arrest of Edward and Nicolle Hatch.

Police asked anyone who knows their whereabouts to contact them. The couple wasn't immediately available for comment and it wasn't known if they had an attorney.

Police say the pair cut the security locks on several Easton Mako Torq BBCOR baseball bats at a Dick's Sporting Goods and concealed five in their baby stroller. Police say the bats were worth $2,750.

They face third-degree shoplifting charges and also face charges for allegedly taking cash from an amusement game and vending machine from the Funplex in Mount Laurel on March 21.
