Plant Clinic At Morris Arboretum Now Open
By Phran Novelli
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - So, what's happening at the Morris Arboretum these days?
Well, the Grist Mill is open for visitors every third Sunday of the month, their Garden Railway is open for the summer with an Art and Architecture theme featuring famous buildings and works of art like a miniature Monticello and a teensy version of the giant Clothes Pin sculpture all made of natural materials!
But, one of the most interesting developments to me is that their Plant Clinic is now open any time the Arboretum is.
What's that mean to you?
If you've got a plant you're worried about because it's got funny leaves or evidence of a disease or what looks like insect damage, or you just don't know what the plant is, you can ask the knowledgeable folks at the Plant Clinic to help you figure it out. (Such as the disease-riddled hemlock pictured here.)
So, grab the kids and a branch or two of that shrub that's troubling you and head to the Morris Arboretum to have a fun day out and maybe finally find out what's wrong with that plant of yours too.
Visit Business-Services.UPenn.edu for details of how much of your plant to bring and where to drop it once you get to the Arboretum and an email and phone number if you have questions.
