Philly Animal Shelter Holding Pokemon Go Adoption Challenge

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The game has swept the world by storm and has players sweeping the globe looking for Pokemon. Now, gamers can capture a new virtual pet and take home an actual furry friend in the process.

ACCT Philly has announced that they will be holding a Pokemon Go Challenge. The event will run from July 16-22.

Players are invited to come out to the shelter, located at 111 W. Hunting Park Avenue. If you catch a Pokemon at the shelter, you get half-price off your adoption, but it doesn't stop there.

If you battle the ACCT Philly gym and arise victorious, your adoption is free.
