Rainy Saturday in Philadelphia area, nicer weather on the way. Here's the forecast.

Saturday is perfect for indoor activities. It will be cloudy with scattered showers and cooler in the upper 70's. Much of the shower activity will be confines to the I-95 corridor and Philly to the south and east over south Jersey and Delaware.

Saturday night a front will cross the area from the west and isolated showers and storms are possible. Much of that activity will be from Philly and the I-95 corridor to the north and west over SE Pennsylvania. A few of the storms may briefly turn severe with a damaging wind gust. There is a low-end level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms north and west of the city.

Sundy is perfect for outdoor plans. It is the nicer day by far with any lingering clouds or and early morning shower giving way to sunny skies and warmer temperatures in the low 80's.

We are looking at a fantastic start to the work week with both Monday and Tuesday featuring low humidity, bright sunshine, and comfortable highs in the low 80's.

Wednesday is nice as well, but late day clouds arrive with a return to unsettled weather including storms Wednesday night through Friday.
